I traded stocks for years. And Equities is the only thing I would trade. In fact, my stock trading strategy evolved into only trading one stock ticker. TTD. And trading stocks was fun, lucrative and rewarding. But it was restrictive, too. You have to take the good with the bad. But I was happy. But then one of the Youtube trading influencers I follow had me thinking. Her Youtube name is Tori Trades and she trades Futures. And as I listened to her I began to get the Futures itch.
She talked about all the pros there are in trading Futures. Many that trading Equities did not have. The biggest ones for me was no PDT rule and the Futures markets stay open for a very long time. I started investigating it and decided it was for me. I took the plunge and gave up trading stocks. In fact anyone can get my stock trading strategy, The Piggy Back Algorithm, for free.
There was a learning curve for me with Futures. Learning what a Tick is and figuring out how to calculate my stops but once I figured out stuff like that it was smooth sailing. For me trading Futures is a lot more lucrative than Equities so unless something better comes along I am here to stay.
